Service Manager for Foundations Care, Anna Coooper said that there are limited options for many children and young people in the area because of a lack of foster carers and this can sometimes result in siblings being separated or local children being moved out of area.
“We’ve seen an increase of children entering out of home care across the New England region, and are desperate for carers who can provide a child or children with a safe and stable home,” Anna said.
“We pride ourselves on the support we provide, not only to the children in care, but also to our Foster Carers.”
“We value and recognise the important role Foster Carers play to ensure the best possible outcomes for our most vulnerable children,” Anna said. “You can make a difference to the life of a child or young person in need - Foster Carers are Ordinary People doing Extraordinary things.”
Foundations Care welcomes Foster Carers from all walks of life, including but not limited to single carers, married carers, same sex carers, childless carers, carers of all ages, cultural backgrounds and varied levels of experience.
Foundations Care is an organisation that truly understands the reality of foster care and what is needed to make the experience a rewarding one for both the foster child and the foster family.
They recruit, train and support foster carers for children who can no longer live at home because their family is unable to look after them or they may be at risk of harm.
