Training will commence on 13 January, 2015 at 6.00pm and will continue every Tuesday and Thursday.
These sessions will be led by Peter Presnell until the coaches are appointed.
Applications for all coaching positions close on Friday, 23 January, 2015 and will be considered at the next meeting to be held on Tuesday, 27 January, 2015.
In the meantime, the club is actively seeking sponsorship for the 2015 season.

Ladies’ Golf
Jenny Shiels won the Stroke competition last Wednesday with a fantastic 71 nett.
The runner up with 73 nett was Karen Oehlers while Pip White, Meg Simpson and Karen had only 30 putts.
Kath Varley has celebrated a big milestone birthday this week and we wish her many more years of good golfing.

Men’s Golf
Sunday, 14 December saw seven players compete in the Monthly Mug and Captain’s Day.
The winner was Reg Walls with Andrew Youman the runner up. Steven Sole won the nearest the pin shots on 7, 10 and 18.
This Sunday, 21 December will be the WJ Pearson and Co sponsored individual stableford.
On Friday, 26 December the Club is sponsoring a Two Person Ambrose. This is open to everyone, so grab a mate and come along and enjoy the game.

Veterans’ Golf
On Tuesday 16 December, Vets played an Individual Stableford Event.
The winner of the day was Roger Grills, the “master of the fade”, with a wonderful score of 40. Ian Taylor was close behind with 39 points.
There were three winning putters with 28 putts – David Bearup, Roger Grills and Ian Taylor.
Pattie Hill was nearest the pin on the 9th, John Prisk on the 10th and David Bearup’s second shot was the closest to the pin on 18th.
“The Shot of the Day” goes to Ian Taylor. His tee shot followed the tree line, he faded his second shot onto the green, then sank the putt for a brilliant eagle, scoring 5 points.
Next week we will be playing a “Christmas Fun Day”.

Midweek Golf
Caspers were the best performed team this week with 63 points.
Painsinthebutt and TWG scored 62 points, with Baldersleigh Bashers scoring 61 points.
W Chapman, L Reinke and BJ Kliendienst were the best individual scorers with 18 points.
N Paine and D Wilcox scored 17 points.
R Moore, L Grills, D Marshall. R Walls, R Ward, S Wake, B Thomson, D Burey and J Ellis all scored 16 points.
This is the Last week for mid-week before Christmas; we recommence on 12 January.

Sailing on Malpas
The day started cool and cloudy with a moderate SE breeze on Malpas Dam last Sunday for heat 4 of the Club Champs. However, as the sun broke through the breeze dropped away. Nonetheless a good day was had by all.
1st – Chris Wilford and Clarrissa Walsh sailing a Tasar.
2nd – Josh Daley and Ken Mcdonald sailing a Maricat.
3rd – Mike Williams sailing a Spiral.
