Donna White won the Stroke event last Wednesday with the fine score of 72 nett, while runner-up was Joyce Betts with 72 nett. Joyce won the putting competition with only 28 putts.
Donna won nearest the pin with her second shot on the 18th green measuring only 264 centimetres from the flag.
Some of the shots of the day were by Kath and Joyce who chipped in and Pip’s wayward drive on the 11th, which flew over Lagoon Road to land near the 100 kilometre sign.
On Sunday, August 3 the Graham Betts Final competition winners were visitors playing in Armidale from other clubs: Barb Mulligan (Walcha), Runner-up-Pip Leake (Walcha) then next best were Judy McDonald and Lil Faulkner. There were no prizes won by Guyra competitors but Pip had the best score with 32 Stableford points.
The Golf Club’s Presentation Dinner will be held this Saturday, August 23.
Good luck to Julie and Belinda at the Glen Innes playoff for the New England District qualifying round to go to Bonshaw for Golf NSW Women’s Fourball Championship.
Next Wednesday’s Stableford competition is for Julie’s trophy day.

Warren McCowen was the winner of Sunday’s Individual Stableford; Mal Gaurkroger was runner up.
Next event is the Westpac Helicopter 2 Person Ambrose this Sunday, August 24. Cost is $15.00 including lunch.
Tickets for the Golf Presentation on Saturday, August 23 need to be paid for and picked up by today, Thursday, for catering purposes.

The season is quickly drawing to a close with one weekend of round games to go.
The under 9s had another win and they are bringing the season to a close strongly.
Second grade had a 1-1 draw with ESC, with Aimee Waters scoring the goal. Third grade White played third grade Green. Green were too strong again, but only just winning 2-1.
This is the last round week of the season. The under 9s play at 9am, second grade play PLC at 1:40pm, third grade Green play Flamingoes at 1:40pm and third grade White play United at 3:05pm.
Don’t forget the White, Tight and Bright night at the Royal Hotel on Saturday. There will also be a meeting at the Royal on Thursday August 21 at 7pm to organise Presentation Night which will be September 27.
