More than 600 motorcyclists cruised into Walcha on the weekend for the inaugural Walcha Motorcycle Rally.

The event attracted riders of different experience and skill levels, with some of the mountainous tracks around Walcha capturing the attention of thrill-seekers.
"We attract a lot of motorcycles due to the great riding around here with the windy roads, highway and uphill rides too with the adventure riders," Walcha tourism manager Susie Crawford said
The showground was peppered with overnight campers and merchandise, dinner, drinks and live music was available from Thursday night to Sunday morning.
The engines were revving throughout the wet weekend with road rides and adventure rides, and many events, including burnout competitions, dog jumping, dirt bike barrel races, a motorcycle gymkhana, demolition derby, and tyre throwing.
On Saturday, at the monthly farmers market and the annual billy cart race was held.
Then, blessed with a sunny break, vintage car enthusiasts gathered with the bikers at the showground before setting off on a colourful ( and noisy) street parade through the town to delight the locals.
If you missed it in 2021, you can catch it in 2022, as the event has been inked in by the local council for the third weekend in November every year.
