A convincing 80-0 victory over Sydney Boys High First XV and wins in four of five other rugby matches reflected The Armidale School's dominance on the paddock but not enough for it to retain the Hannon and Harris Cup for competition in five sports last weekend.

TAS welcomed more than 200 students and staff for 'High Weekend', always a highlight on the sporting calendars of both schools.
On Friday evening the visitors took out both Junior and Opens basketball matches.

TAS won the Opens football game under lights and in the rain at Doody Park on Friday night, but were overwhelmed in both 14s and 16s games on Saturday.
At the TAS small bore range on Saturday morning the hosts were leading until the final detail, delivering High the competition for the Tank Shell Shield, scoring 1279 points to 1228.
High were too strong in Junior and Senior tennis and took out the 16s rugby and rugby relay, but rugby TAS notched up convincing wins in 13s, 14s, 15s, Second and First XV.
The latter also served as round 3 of the AAGPS Third Grade competition and showed what the team is capable of, said coach AJ Whalley.
"We were quite abrasive in our carries and our cleanouts, we caused a lot of turnovers with some strong defence and were able to create good opportunities off the back of that," he said.
"After two losses in the competition it was also a great morale boost for the boys to have a win at home but we will need to take it up a notch for the next game, against Shore."
Ultimately though High took out nine of the fixtures to TAS' six, giving the Sydneysiders the Hannon and Harris Cup for the first time since 2015.
Director of Co-curricular Huon Barrett said it continues to be a wonderful program of sporting fixtures and the visit is appreciated by both schools.
"It's a massive effort from their staff to make it happen, and to see the excellent level of camaraderie and sportsmanship makes for memories that will last a lifetime and we look forward to it continuing in years ahead," he said.
