A TRUCK driver is in a serious condition in hospital after he was pinned under his cement truck when it rolled.
The accident happened on the Emmaville Road at Emmaville, near Glen Innes, just after midday on Monday.
Rescuers said the 32-year-old man was behind the wheel of a concrete truck when it tipped, and pinned him underneath inside the cabin.
Emergency services including ambulance, police and the RFS rushed to the accident to try and free the man who was trapped by his legs.
He was rescued and assessed on scene by paramedics, along with the critical care medical team from the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
The chopper then airlifted the patient to the Gold Coast University Hospital.
He was reported to be in a serious condition.
