We are often more concerned with ensuring everything on our to-do-list is done rather than how important it is to relax, unwind and enjoy the moment.

World WellBeing Week, which begins on June 24, provides us with such an opportunity.
It is aimed at promoting awareness for the various aspects of wellbeing, including social, physical, emotional, financial, career, community and environmental wellbeing.
World WellBeing Week recognises all healthcare professionals who help us maintain our wellbeing, as well as shine a light on charities and social enterprises working hard in their own specific areas of wellbeing.

The international event starts in the Channel Islands, where a number of events and activities will culminate in an awards ceremony.
Awards will be given which recognise:
- Safe work environments
- Leadership that encourages positive change in the workplace
- Empowerment of employees to work in a way that will bring out their best "work self"
Organisers also hope the week will be marked in schools across the world, giving young people the tools and knowledge to help manage their mental health.
Five ways to positive wellbeing are connect, be active, mindfulness, learning and giving to others.
It is estimated that one in six adults experience a common mental health problem, such as anxiety or depression.
Furthermore, one in five adults has considered taking their own life at some point.
World WellBeing Week will address these and offer tips on overcoming those problems experienced by many.
Other things we can do to encourage wellbeing is taking time for ourselves.
Plan a weekend off several months ahead so you don't end up filling it with other obligations.
Find an afternoon once or twice a month where you can escape to the movies, read a book in the sunshine or take a walk along the beach.
If you have children, organise with a friend to have them for the afternoon and swap so you both have scheduled time out.
At the start of each day, pick half an hour when you get to do whatever you want: maybe take a relaxing bath, go for a jog, pop in to a café and enjoy a coffee.
Get out of the house or find a place you can close the door and get away from it all.
