Armidale Secondary College students Jack Armatage, Bradman Walker and Jarrod Butler played in the North West representative team at the championships on Sydney's Northern Beaches last week.
Converging in Sydney to play for the NSW CHS title, twelve representative teams arrived.
The ASC team excelled on day one, beating Sydney South West 19-0 and Sydney North West 7-5.
They topped their group to play for the major trophy to unfortunately lose on day two against Rugby Powerhouse and Sydney West (24-0 and 31-0).
Day three had the boys playing against the Central Coast for 3rd place. Injured, they fought hard against the opposition but were eventually beaten, losing 21-7.
The ASC North West team finished in fourth place overall of 12 regions and were rewarded by having second rower, Bradman Walker selected to play for the NSW championship team to take on Independent, Catholic and GPS opposition for an All Schools school boy jersey.
Congratulations to all the boys who played so well and a special commendation to Bradman.
