Salvos call for volunteers
Salvation Army Major Wendy Spindler welcomes any support from local people who can spare some time on Saturday or Sunday to take a red bucket around the local Armidale area so that coins can be collected for the Red Shield Appeal.

"Please do not give any money to anyone who does not have the proper identification that we supply which includes Red Shield Appeal lanyard with identification and a receipt book," Wendy said.
"This year money collected will support our community kitchen and also go statewide to our drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs."
