The ADFAS Armidale lecture will be at the Michael Hoskins Centre, The Armidale School, 6pm. It will feature Sophie Masson, who is an acclaimed author of more than 60 books for children and adults. She has won the Patricia Wrightson Prize for Children's Literature in the NSW Premier's Literary Awards, and the young adult category in the Aurealis Awards. Guests are welcome at lectures. THE ARMIDALE SCHOOL RUGBY CARNIVAL
Hosted by The Armidale School, the TAS Rugby Carnival is the largest under 12s rugby carnival in Australia and this year has attracted 51 school, club and representative teams from across NSW, Qld and WA. The event brings 3000 visitors to Armidale and is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the region. ABORIGINAL CULTURAL CENTRE EXHIBITIONS
Aboriginal Nurses and Midwives - a photographic exhibition, Fabrics and Ornaments of Newborn - an artefact exhibition, and Women's Role in Traditional Living by Nioka Chatfield and Tania Walker - a visual art exhibition are now on show at the Aboriginal Cultural Centre and Keeping Place at 96-104 Kentucky Street.
