Thirty Uralla senior citizens gathered at the Community Centre yesterday to explore what ‘wellness’ means to them.
The day aimed to establish a shared understanding of wellness between older people and the organisations that strive to keep them well.
New England Sector Support Team (NESST), the Ascent Group, and Tablelands Community Support planned the day, hosted by NESST staff Deb Pugh and Jenni Carlin.
Conversation and activities drew out participants' views. Many connections, insights, and new friendships developed during the workshop, organisers said.
Feedback from the day was extremely positive. "It was a day of much laughter and fun, but also with a higher purpose," Ms Pugh said.
