Mr Willis’s disappearance was treated as a suspected homicide, which saw Strike Force Barca formed to investigate it and, in June last year, a reward of up to $350,000 offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
A similar appeal to for information in July last year led investigators to a yellow, 1980 model XD Ford Falcon ute with a V8 Chevrolet motor. It was purchased by two men in Bingara in 2011. Police believe the ute is in Queensland, but it is not registered there.

New England Police District crime manager Detective Chief Inspector Ann Joy said the two men may well be able to help them with their inquiries and has urged anyone with information to come forward.
“We are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who has information about this yellow utility in Bingara between 2010 and 2011, and it’s connection to Mr Willis’s dissapearance,’ she said.
“The vehicle is the type of vehicle that would undoubtedly spark the interest of a car enthusiast.”
Det Insp Joy said she asked anyone with knowledge of the vehicle’s current whereabouts, or movements since 2010 to speak with Strike Force Barca detectives.
