Every year New England folk gather at Black Gully (behind NERAM) for the annual Black Gully Festival to celebrate community, music and biodiversity. The festival is being held on Saturday 17 November from 10am with markets, art, food, drink, kids art and activities and of course, live local music. Hosted by Armidale Regional Council.

THE STUFF OF TALES BOOK LAUNCH
Everyone is invited to the Reader’s Companion Bookshop to help celebrate the launch of The Stuff of Tales, a collection of short stories written by local and regional authors inspired by the collections of small museums in the New England North West. Authors include Beattie Alvarez, John Heffernan, Ian Irvine, Sophie Masson, Fiona McDonald, Bronwyn Parry and illustrator David Allen. Find out more on www.readerscompanion.com.au

ARMIDALE FAMILY HISTORY
The Armidale Family History Group Inc Monthly Meeting will be held at the Research Centre, in Kentucky Street at 7.30pm. Doors will open at 7pm should you wish to wander through the library and see all the resources and books. All welcome. Our guest speaker will be our member Judy Grieve, president of the Armidale and District Historical Society. Topic: A soldier on the Dangersleigh War Memorial. This is the last meeting for the year. Christmas party is on December 2 at 11.30am for 12 noon. Bring a plate to share and drinks. The centre will close for the Christmas break on December 12, reopening January 21.

TIMOMATIC MASH UP TOUR
Multi-platinum selling artist Timomatic will be bringing his high-energy show to Armidale, as part of his Mash Up tour hosted by NUI Events Tours. Timomatic can’t wait to get on the road and share he’s passion with everyone. Timomatic and Justice Crew’s I am Solo are on the same night. Show starts at 7pm at Armidale Services Club. Tickets $29-$49.
