Now the 11-year-old is one pointe-shod step closer to her dream of becoming a professional dancer.
Georgia has just been accepted into the Hunter School of Performing Arts, Newcastle, the only selective performing arts school in the state.
“I’m really excited and happy to get into the dance program,” she said.

Georgia will go to the Hunter School next year, after finishing primary school at Armidale City Public School.
She has been dancing for nine years – since she was two. She began classes at the Australian Dance Enterprises studio when she was six, and has been in regional dance ensembles, and through dance camp.
She performed at Capers, a Tamworth festival for public school kids, at the Tamworth Dance Festival, and in the Armidale Eisteddfod.
Last week, she was one of five girls chosen to appear in Melbourne City Ballet’s Carmen.
“She’s not lacking in confidence!” her mother Rachel Hughes said.
What Georgia likes most about dancing is the way it feels.
“It’s amazing,” she said. “I’m free, and myself!”
