Volunteers from Armidale Dumaresq RFS and State Emergency Services work together in casualty training

A SPATE of car crashes in the past 12 months has led to more teamwork between State Emergency Services and Rural Fire Services.

Last weekend the two groups joined up for basic casualty handling skills, after Armidale Dumaresq firefighters have assisted with those jobs in the past.

The volunteers learned basic skills and helped the teams integrate, with Armidale SES and a joint NSW Ambulance officer helped out.
