Since then I have worked as a general practitioner in a private clinic for five years and a first-aid instructor for two years.
I would like to one day be a pediatric oncologist. In addition, I am really interested in the endocrine system, so I also would like to be an endocrinologist.
However, my country is one of the developing countries and needs to be improved in many sectors including education and health care.
I would like to build up a nursing teaching campaign in developing countries.
In Myanmar people from rural areas cannot easily access quality health care.
They may need to travel one or two days to reach the hospital to get proper care.
Therefore, it is a dangerous situation for people suffering from critical or emergency conditions.
Because of this, I would like to set up a nursing charity teaching campaign and deliver volunteers to the district area.
They can then give health care to the patient as well as bring people needing emergency treatment to the hospital under supervision.
Setting up the nursing campaign is more important to me than my wish to be pediatric oncologist and endocrinologist, because I believe that it is a better way to improve my country’s rural health care and the people’s needs.
I decided to study in Australia to learn and get experiences of the Australian health care system because I believe that the health care system here is one of the best in the world.
I got admission to University of New England (UNE) in February 2016.
Before attending the university, I needed to learn English for Academic Purpose course (EAP) Level 3 and Level 4 at UNE’s English Language Center (ELC).
During this time, I got a lot of help, kindness and warmness from ELC’s teachers and student support people who made me feel happy and like part of a family.
When I became involved in an Australian health care practice, I clearly saw the important role of the social support worker in providing continuous patient care.
This reinforced my decision to build up a nursing campaign and team of volunteer nursing care workers, particularly in the area of rural health care.
The role of social support worker has not been implemented in my country’s health care management, and having seen how effective it is in australia, I was inspired to start a program of this type at home in Myanmar.
Apart from my goals, my wife and I are happy to live in Armidale because it can give a sense of peace and mindfulness.
The people are very kind, warm and helpful.
In addition, we would like to travel around Australia, because I believe that Australia is one of the most beautiful places in the world.
Among them, the Gold Coast is one our favourite places.
I really would like to say thank you to everyone who helped and supported me in everything.
