Health Service Educator and Chair of the Staff Social Club, Angela Miller said each ward is decorated with tinsel, lights and trees – as staff compete for a first-place prize.
“It’s about bringing people together,” Ms Miller told The Express on Thursday morning.
“Some people are really into it and a lot of the decorations are handmade.
“The patients get involved as well and were very excited when we were coming around doing the judging.”
This year’s first places went to the emergency department, oncology and medical records while community health and the renal unit tied equally in second place.
