On May 26, she is playing at Armidale City Bowling Club.
“It’s wonderful to be back singing again, it’s what I love to do,” Sara told The Express.
Earlier this year she kicked off touring, which she hasn’t done for a while due to her young family.
The singer-songwriter has four sons aged seven and under, so has not been able to tour for several years.
After releasing her previous album Lovegrass in 2013, Sara said she did have big plans to tour but it didn’t happen.
“It was too difficult, the children were too young and they were just too dependent, whereas now they’re all a little bit older and I can head off for a weekend and it’s not too stressful.”
The Armidale gig is her only New England show in a tour which will also take her to the Mid North Coast.
Sara won two Golden Guitars at Tamworth this year, taking home Bush Ballad of the Year, as well as Female Artist of the Year.
“You do put a lot of work into writing your songs and releasing an album that you feel is the best that you can do, so it’s nice to be acknowledged, and I think I received just as much of a buzz receiving my Golden Guitars this year as I did when I received my very first,” Sara said.

After getting back on the road by playing shows in southern NSW in February, Sara said she was enjoying playing in front of live audiences again.
“I’m filling up the year, so wherever I can get a gig, I’ll do my hardest to get there and give them all I’ve got.
“There’s times when I can be on a festival and I can have the full band, and there’s other times where it will be a little bit more of an acoustic performance.”
Her brother Greg Storer, and Star Maker finalist Angus Gill, will be support acts for Sara at her Armidale concert.
“I’m really excited whenever I get to take my brother out on the road,” Sara said. “He’s a farmer at Warren, and the other brother has let him escape for the weekend.
“Greg tells them that he’s going to work hard singing songs, but seriously, it’s just as much fun for him.
“I just love sharing the stage with him.”
Tickets for Sara’s concert are available from Armidale City Bowling Club.
