New England Girls' School ran a successful show riding day on Saturday, December 3.
Competitors aged from four to 17 competed in a variety of events including Best Presented, handler, rider, hack and bareback.
They came from as far away as Moree to compete for some of the flower garlands on offer.
One of the hottest contested classes of the day was the fancy dress.
Outfits included Alice in Wonderland, Harry Trotter, a French poodle an Indian and Woody from Toy Story.
Some of the winners on the day were Shae Partridge from Walcha who won best presented, champion senior handler and champion senior rider; Lottie Jacobsen from Forbes who won champion junior rider and handler; Elsie Traynor, from Moree who won champion junior hack; Bronte Dagg from Armidale who won champion senior hack, Charlie Aitken from Armidale who won reserve champion senior hack and Bree Aitken from Narrabri who won reserve senior rider.
