Guyra’s weekend was a success with many riders picking up champion and runner up ribbons against nearly 100 other competitors. Other riders came from Glen Innes, Inverell, Emmaville, Kingstown and Upper Horton to compete in the hacking, sporting and showjumping classes over Saturday and Sunday. Tenterfield club president Jamie O’Neill said there was an even spread of winners from all clubs.
"They all had good competition, the groups were evenly matched and they all had a good time,” he said.
"The main competition between the four clubs that host was won by Inverell and Tenterfield was second.”
Guyra Pony Club will attend one final interclub event this weekend in Armidale. The club then turn to preparing its riders for the annual Jamboree in January.
