Event organiser Michael Newton said the event was always an overwhelming success.
"It’s got something for everyone, it’s a really fun day,” he said.
Mr Newton started ADOTG because he felt there was a lack of outdoor concerts that showcased contemporary music.
“We thought there wasn’t a lot for people outside, we wanted to create a lively event with more rock and roll as opposed to jazz or opera,” he said.
“It’s really just about enjoying the live music with friends and taking some time to really enjoy it outdoors.”
Wineries were decidedly the perfect venue for an outdoor concert and Mr Newton said most venues are more than willing to get involved.
“Winery locations are very beautiful, you’ve got fresh air, you can bring your own picnic to enjoy with friends and just relax and take a day off,” he said.
“It’s just a great way to spend some quality time with your friends in a unique location with fantastic music.”
A Day on the Green has toured Australia for the past 15 years and has played host to a number of international acts such as Rod Stewart, Lionel Ritchie, Leonard Cohen and The Pretenders.
Mr Newton said organising an event of this size was no small feat.
“It’s a constant juggle,” he said.
A Day on the Green is on at Petersons Winery Saturday, October 29 from 3pm.
