SCULPTORS, photographers and ceramicists will showcase their work at the Armidale Art Gallery.
Photography Jim Walmsley has entered five pieces into the exhibition and specialises in digital photography.
“I’m mainly interested in landscapes, increasingly in black and white photography because my theory is that people look at a coloured photo but they look into a black and white,” he said.
“It makes the viewer work a little bit harder and you’ve got to take that into account when you compose the photograph.”
The works have been submitted for the Photography, Sculpture and Ceramic Prize where $1800 in prizes will be awarded.
The official opening is on Saturday October 22 at 6pm at the Armidale Art Gallery.
