BUDDING writers will now have the opportunity to pitch their work to industry professionals at the Pitch Perfect program.
The program is run by the New England Writers’ Centre and chair Sophie Masson said it will be a fantastic opportunity for writers’ to show their work.
“It’s extremely difficult to get your work published in a regional area because most publishers work in capital cities.
“What’s unique about this is that it prepares people for the small time that they have to convey what is interesting about their idea,” she said.
Ms Masson said the workshop allows publishers to get to know the writer personally and this can have a huge impact on the likelihood of being published.
“It’s incredibly difficult to get the time to make an impression and publishers are not only looking for a great idea but to see whether they can work with you,” she said.
Bookings available until October 1, for more information contact newcpartners@gmail.com.
