HOBBIT New England Preschool and Childcare centre has been recognised as exceeding in its childcare services.

Centre Director Angela Vines said she believes the family-first attitude is what earned the centre the assessment mark.

“Our main goal here is to really embrace the family attitude and our philosophy is that we treat everyone like they’re our family, the staff are very family-oriented, we work really well together and we have high expectations of education,” she said.

Ms Vines believes that education at a young age is of the utmost importance. 

“The first five years of a child’s life is where they learn the most and that sets the foundations for the rest of their learning,” she said.

Staff at the centre spend a lot of time forging relationships with the child’s family to improve communication.

“We spend a lot of time getting to know the families really well, I think having those core relationships and having such positive relationships is what builds a really good centre, an exceeding centre,” Ms Vines said.
