TOUCH screen televisions and iPad Pros were just some of the new learning tools showcased to Armidale teachers at a conference last week.
Teachers from Armidale and Duval High Schools attended the Innovation Learning Design Conference focused around twenty first century learners and teaching methods.
Armidale High School principal Carolyn Lupton said the conference was about making changes and taking a real snapshot of where schools were at.
“It’s not just about new technologies, its looking at the teaching practices behind the technology,” she said.
The initiative was funded by the NSW department of education and offered opportunities for teachers from all over the region to learn from one another.
“Iron sharpens iron, teachers sharpen teachers,” she said.
“The great thing about department schools is that there is such a willingness to share resources.”
