A KEMPSEY man has been arrested by Armidale police after a raid on a Butler Street home on Thursday morning.

Detectives, uniformed police and officers attached to the New England Lola Area Command’s Target Action Group swarmed on the home at about 8am, executing a search warrant.
Officers allegedly located around two dozen items including laptop computers, mobile phones and electronic tablets.
A 32-year-old Kempsey man was arrested at the scene.
He was taken to the Armidale Police Station where he was questioned by detectives.
The arrest is the latest in a police crackdown on burglary offences in the New England district.
New England Local Area Command Crime Manager Ann Joy said despite the arrests, residents must remain vigilant.
“Residents can help immensely by securing their homes and reporting any suspicious activity to us,” Detective Inspector Joy said.
“We are always focused on stamping out this type of crime.
“Report it and we will act.”
Residents are asked to keep their windows and doors locked, and to consider sensor lighting to improve the security of their homes.
