The Blues were completely outclassed 34-10 by a very dominant Elks side who looked far too good for second grade.
Glen Innes was in front 29-nil after just 25 minutes.
Elks fly-half Lachie Perkins scored the opening try and made no mistake of the conversion and also booted long range penalty shortly after.
A scrum push over try to Elks’ number eight Lachie Stewart, followed by two brilliant individual tries to winger Todd Burgess had the lead out to 29-nil and stayed that way until half time. The Blues hit back mid-way through the second half with a try following a rolling maul.
Glen Innes had the last say with a try to replacement forward Sid Brummell.
Barbarians knocked off Gwydir 9-7 in a low scoring third grade grand final.
Baa Baas were trailing 7-3 at the break, but two second half penalties to Brad Rafferty was enough to secure the premiership.
