The small group of live music enthusiasts responsible for the event are billing it as a celebration of original arts and music for all ages.
The festival’s aim is to promote original music and performing arts in the New England area and there will be two stages – one for established acts and one for aspiring performers to get out of their garage.
The main stage line-up will feature Claude Hay, Goldheist, The Jug Addicts, Foundlings, Greg Windred's Racketeers, The M Cooperation, The Grim Brothers and Caramello Cafe.
Hailing from the Blue Mountains near Sydney, award winning Australian solo artist Claude Hay invokes the best of stomping traditional blues, hard rock and booty-shaking funk, all delivered with slide guitar chops to burn and a vocal range to match.
Festivalgoers will also enjoy performances from Bellydance Earth & Sky and The Dunghutti Dancers.
“We are incredibly excited to be bringing this festival to life,” said organising committee member Stef Cook.
“There will be delicious food stalls including Buddha Belly Kitchen, Picket Fence Catering, Ultimate BBQ and Mak’s Turkish Gozleme. “A selection of creative workshops will also be a fantastic addition, with something for all ages and a sculptural bonfire will be lit at dusk”.
For those wishing to stay over there is onsite camping available and plenty of accommodation options in Walcha.
“So invite your friends to Walcha for an exciting weekend of entertainment,” she said.
“Tickets are on sale now so don’t miss this cracking line up of amazing bands, unique local food stalls and creative workshops in Walcha on April 21 at the Walcha Showground from 11am - 11pm.”
