The school hosted a Gala Day in winter last year with 105 tests and the upcoming event is set to be even more popular.
Event organiser and NEGS senior coach, Rachelle Hirst has big plans for the future of NEGS Dressage Galas and said the response from the dressage community has been phenomenal.
“Riders of all ages and from around NSW are really keen to see us succeed and they are also incredibly excited to have the opportunity to compete in our world class facilities on the NEGS grounds,” she said.
“We love that we can give back to our beloved riding community but also provide and facilitate the efforts of our students who are working so hard to become elite riders.”
More than 100 tests will be run on the day from preliminary level through to medium.
NEGS student and seasoned competitor, Ruby Goldsmith will be competing in the Medium level on her horse, Belcum Centucky.
Ruby recently won both Medium tests at Armidale Riding Club’s official competition and is eager to hold the winning title at NEGS too.
Northern Territory student, Olivia Ruzsicska will also be competing in the Medium on her chestnut gelding, Warrego Dumbledore.
The pair have been champions many times over at a multitude of events and are sure to give all the competitors a run for their money.
