Amidst the sea of black and Time's Up pins at this year's Golden Globes, there was a notable absence.

Actresses Rose McGowan and Asia Argento, who sent shockwaves through the film industry when they accused Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault last year, claim they weren't invited to the event, which saw many prominent Hollywood female figures wear black attire in protest of gender inequality and abuse.
"I can only speak for myself but not only I wasn't invited to the #GoldenGlobes: nobody asked my opinion about #TIMESUP or to sign the letter," Argento tweeted on Tuesday.
"It would've been too much of a downer... an embarrassment. Victims aren't glamorous enough," she added.
McGowan also expressed her disdain for "Hollywood fakery" in the wake of her exclusion from the Globes. "Not one of those fancy people wearing black to honour our rapes would have lifted a finger," she alleged in response to a tweet from Argento praising her courage.
Stand by Me star Corey Feldman, who has previously detailed his allegations of child sexual abuse at the hands of adult agents and actors, replied to the actresses with his own takedown of Hollywood.
"Do U C the hypocrisy here?" he tweeted. "Hollywood taking a stand in unity, when I wasn't invited?"
McGowan has been a vocal critic of the same "hypocrisy" in the past, attacking the Time's Up movement in a now deleted post from December referring to Weinstein as a "pig monster".
"Actresses... who happily worked for The Pig Monster are wearing black @GoldenGlobes in a silent protest," she said. "YOUR SILENCE is THE problem."
The former Charmed actress and #MeToo proponent is working on a five-part E! series about her role in exposing Hollywood's culture of sexual misconduct.
I can only speak for myself but not only I wasn't invited to the #GoldenGlobes: nobody asked my opinion about #TIMESUP or to sign the letter. I support @TIMESUPNOW even though I was excluded from it. And not one of those fancy people wearing black to honor our rapes would have lifted a finger had it not been so. I have no time for Hollywood fakery, but you I love, .@AsiaArgento #RoseArmy https://t.co/9e0938y5sI??? rose mcgowan (@rosemcgowan) January 8, 2018
