Another serving: Todd McKenney is again bringing Peter Allen to Aussie audiences.

Few, if any, have done as much to celebrate the life and music of Peter Allen as Todd McKenney, who delighted audiences as the original star of the musical The Boy From Oz and who has been shaking Allen’s maracas in various guises ever since.

Twenty years on, Todd pays homage to Peter Allen in his live event, Todd McKenney Sings Peter Allen: The Piano Sessions, at Capitol Theatre on December 1 at 8pm.

Here Allen invites fans to get up close and personal in an intimate, relaxed setting: just Todd himself, Michael Rohanek on grand piano, Ralph Marshall on bass, additional vocals from the amazing Lisa Callingham, and Allen’s fantastic songs.

The Piano Sessions just completed two sold-out nights at The Opera House, Sydney.

As well as singing all of Allen’s biggest hits including Not The Boy Next Door, (I Go to) Rio, I Honestly Love You, Tenterfield Saddler and I Still Call Australia Home, he will tell stories about meeting Peter Allen and playing him on stage.
