MAKING MOVING MUSIC: Fiori Musicali Christmas Choir members will perform with Armidale harpist Isla Biffin at concerts in Bellingen, Coffs Harbour and Armidale.

VOICES of the Ceremony of Carols Choir will play with a new note this year.

Armidale harpist Isla Biffin will join the Fiori Musicali concert.

Choir member Bruce Menzies said the group has been rehearsing for months.

“It’s very tuneful, lyrical music and one of the exciting things about it is that Isla Biffin is going to play harp,” Mr Menzies said.

“She’s only 17-years-old but it looks like she has a professional career ahead of her.”

This is the first time the choir will work with a harp.

The centrepiece of the concert was written for both harp and voice, and Mr Menzies is excited to bring it to life.

“It’s a subtle, sophisticated rhythm,” he said.

“I really hope the audience goes home with a warm feeling of beautiful harmonies and inspiring music for Christmas – I think it will be quite moving.”

The concert is on at Our Lady of the Angels Chapel, Sunday November 19 at 5pm.

Tickets available at the door.
