Gymnastics NSW Hunter Training Program Invitational Grand Prix 4 includes local gymnast

YOUNG STAR: William Bursle competed at the Gymnastics NSW Hunter Training Program Invitational Grand Prix 4.

Eight-year-old William Bursle from Armidale City Gymnastics Centre competed at the Gymnastics NSW Hunter Training Program Invitational Grand Prix 4 in Newcastle on the weekend.

William was in the Level 1 Senior Men's gymnastics division, and after placing second on floor and parallel bars, third on vault, fourth on rings and high bar and fifth on pommel was awarded third all around.

In July, William was awarded second all around at the Gymnastics NSW Country Championships.

The following month he was first all around at the North West PSSA and achieved a high score of 9.85 on vault at the state clubs championships in Sydney, helping the Level 1 Senior Team of William, Liam Vannucci and Riley Swadling take out sixth team overall
