A number of the competitors will be looking to post qualifying scores for next year’s World Field Championships.

Armidale will be well represented in the event with a number of members participating in their first tournament, taking advantage of the fact that it is at home.

Dennis Carson will be competing in the Masters Compound division and has to be firm favourite for that division.

His son Jeffrey along with Michael Zahner will be very competitive in the Open Men’s compound division.

Matthew Hooper will be a strong contender in the Under 20 Men’s compound division.

Other locals contesting the event are Dan Alter in the Veteran Compound division, Matthew Wolcott and Yan Laurenson in the Open Men’s recurve division, Eva Strucken in the Open Women’s division and Ella-rose Carson in the Intermediate Girls recurve division.

The competition is held over both Saturday and Sunday.
