Expertly curated and lovingly presented, the showcase will feature some of the hottest acts of this year’s festival all live on stage for an incredible two hours of hard-hitting laughter.
The line-up for the festival includes MC Bart Freebairn – one of Melbourne’s great rising stars of the comedy scene. Bart has written for Good News Week, co-hosts the Something for the Drive Home podcast, and regularly features on Triple J.
Also appearing is Micky Bartlett. All the way from Northern Ireland, Micky is gathering both momentum and acclaim as one of the fastest rising stars on the live stand-up circuit.
Luke Heggie’s hilarious no-nonsense brand of comedy has made him one of the most in-demand comics in Australia and awarded him the coveted Director's Choice Award for Sydney Comedy Festival among many others.
Angella Dravid from New Zealand took out the prestigious Billy T Award at the 2017 NZ International Comedy Festival. Dravid is a truly unique, fresh comedy voice.
Also in the line-up is Cameron James. With a prolific output and razor sharp wit, James has been called the “Next Big Thing” by TimeOut Sydney.
Recommended for mature audiences 15 years and over, the show contains coarse language and adult themes.
Catherine Alcorn returns to Tamworth with her celebration show, of the great music from the famous songbird herself, Christie McVie of Fleetwood Mac.
Catherine presented Go Your Own Way at the Capitol earlier this year during Festival 2017 and audiences were left raving about the show and wanting more. Go Your Own Way is a celebration of great music and the tempestuous life of the Mac’s most famous songwriter.
Christine McVie was the girl who started out as a school teacher, picked up a bass guitar and began to sing the blues. Then she joined Fleetwood Mac and made rock history.
In a career that has so far spanned four decades, the enigmatic Christine McVie is brought to life in 80 music-packed minutes by Catherine Alcorn who brings her own magic to some of the most memorable songs of the 20th century including Little Lies, Everywhere, Don’t Stop and Songbird.
