A fire at a Chinese restaurant in Waterloo has left two people in hospital with burns to the face.

Emergency services were called to the Lachlan Street address just before 6:30pm on Saturday following reports of an explosion.
Two ambulances were called to the scene and treated both men for serious burns.
A 35-year-old man with burns to his arms and face was transported to St. Vincent's Hospital while a 29-year-old male with more serious burns to his face and right arm was transported to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, according to a NSW Ambulance spokesperson.
A spokesperson for NSW Fire and Rescue said that eight fire trucks were on scene and had brought the blaze under control.
He said that there had been minor explosions at the address and that an LPG cylinder would be the focus of an investigation into what caused the fire.
The restaurant has suffered extensive damage.
