On Thursday morning, August 3, they will have a table in the Armidale Mall from 10am to midday.
“This is a great opportunity to talk to all members of the community about the importance of breastfeeding,” Maxine Ross, Midwife and Child and Family Health Nurse with Karrali Mums and Bubs, said.
Breast milk provides optimal nutrition and protection against infections as well being an extremely low cost way of feeding baby without burdening household budgets.
“We hope to talk with mums, dads, grandparents and siblings. There will also be information for anyone who would like to learn about the benefits of breastfeeding.”
Aunty Mary Munro Aboriginal Health Worker and Breastfeeding mentor will also be in attendance on the day along with Lactation Consultant and Child and Family Health Nurse Trudie Laffan.
