Don Barker and Maurice Anker filled the minor places, with Fiona Le Surf and Alex Eberli always in contention. All are expected to perform well at the two-day event this weekend.
The Armidale orienteering club is understandably delighted to be hosting Atte Lahtinen this weekend, one of Finland’s top young orienteers, for two days of coaching and competition. Atte will be running coaching clinics at the Blue Hole on Saturday, with a normal event being run at Oakview on Sunday. Local orienteers will be joined by the Coffs Harbour club with participants also coming from Queensland and Newcastle. Club spokesman Maurice Anker announced this weekend is open to anyone who wants get involved.
