The state’s Governor David Hurley and Armidale Regional Council administrator Ian Tiley attend a classroom BackTrack call The Paddock, where the kids can catch up on numeracy and literacy skills.
“BackTrack provides a safe space for some of our community’s young people at risk,” Dr Tiley said. “Young people are given an opportunity to develop practical and academic skills in a supportive environment.
“The program nurtures confidence, respect, and emotional resilience and teaches valuable social skills.”
The approach has enabled BackTrack to achieve an 87 per cent success rate in training young people to find jobs.
