The club took a team of 20 riders to the three-day competition in Tenterfield last weekend for the biggest event on the region’s calendar.
Against 10 other clubs from the area, Armidale secured the Bundarra Pony Club trophy for the highest pointscoring club of the four smallest in the Zone.
Two riders finished as champions in their age groups.
William Wood took out the 13 and under 15 category while chief instructor Rebecca Cameron won the over 17 associate division.
Lilly and Brodie Meredith were named reserve champions in the seven and under nine division.
Cameron secured the ribbon having only ridden the horse a handful of times in the lead up to the event.
"I had only competed her once before, I could probably count the amount of times I had ridden her on one hand,” she said.
"She did not put a foot wrong.
"I have drafted once before and she took me through my second ever draft and I didn't place but I had fun.”
There were plenty of fresh faces in this year’s group who made the step up to Jamboree for the first time.
Cameron said it was a successful event for all of the riders from the local club.
"Because we don't compete against the northern area we don't get to see them during the year so come Jamboree it is a bit bigger and a bit harder,” she said
"We took quite a young team so there were quite a few riders who haven't actually been to Jamboree before so it was good to see all of our riders, bar one, come home with ribbons.
"Everyone had a great weekend. It was a big eye opener for some but there were no issues, everyone had fun, the team was fantastic.”
