The ex-Duval High School student said the idea for the show started on his personal Facebook page and escalated from there.
“We’ve had guests from The Bachelor and Neighbours, it’s actually a huge compliment to them for agreeing to be on our show – especially with some of the things we throw at them,” Mr Thomas said.
“Ever since I left school I wanted to get into TV and broadcast.”
Mr Thomas worked at CBS in America before he began looking at the online world as something that held real potential.
“I was working in TV and then realised I hadn’t actually watched free-to-air television in more than a year,” he said.
“That’s when I decided to use live-streaming, it’s more popular and you can interact with it in a way where your audience can respond instantly, as the action is happening.”
Wine Time Live launches online through Facebook at the end of February and Mr Thomas said he is excited to see the response.
“Having had a passion my whole life I was lucky to know exactly where I wanted to go, I took the bull by the horns and left my country town and it worked out,” he said.
“We’re launching to a worldwide audience, anyone who has Facebook can join in – that’s pretty crazy.”
