JAMES Zuill has emerged as the buyer of the Eastern Fall property Springdale, which was auctioned by Ray White Rural in Brisbane this morning.

Mr Zuill, who has country at both Ebor and Guyra, paid $4.5 million for the 538 hectare (1330 acre) property located at Wongwibinda, about 70km north east of Armidale.
The property is described as highly arable with established perennial pastures, a strong fertiliser history, well watered with a high carrying capacity. The property is well fenced and has a central laneway system to the cattleyards.
Infrastructure includes a four bedroom home, four bedroom cottage, modern American barn style machinery shed fitted with five stables and a tack room, a four bay machinery shed, workshop, hayshed, and two sets of cattleyards.
The main yards have significant capacity and feature a steel design, drafting pound, curved race with catwalk, weigh box, under cover crush and off scales drafting system. The second yards are a steel design complete with drafting pound, race, vet crush and load out facility.
There is also a two stand shearing shed and two cottages in close proximity.
Located on the desirable Eastern fall, the Wongwibinda precinct is said to have a long standing average annual rainfall of about 916mm.
Springdale has been operated a self replacing cow herd, selling weaner steers and surplus to requirement females.
