At 25 degrees, the town pool is a pleasant temperature for a dip.
But imagine talking a swim in the middle of an Armidale winter – or worse, in New Zealand’s glacier lakes.
Peter Hancock has strapped on Speedos every day for more than two and a half years.
Saturday will be his 1000th day and Peter will celebrate with a barbeque and a swim at the town pool.
Peter has swum in hundreds of locations from more than 20 years. In one challenge, he achieved more than 300 locations in a single year.
And if you ask Peter what’s next?
“I’ll probably just go for another swim tomorrow,” he said.
