Twenty riders from across the country will set off from the Gold Coast on Saturday for an eight day journey to raise funds for children who live in poverty.
The first challenge took place last year and raised more than $62,000. The cyclists are aiming to raise $100,000 in this year’s event.
The challenge finishes in Sydney.
The group of cyclists will arrive in Armidale on Tuesday, November 1 around mid-afternoon.
Baptist World Aid’s International Program’s Manager Daniel Norris is taking part and said he is excited by the opportunity to raise funds for vulnerable children.
“I’ve worked at Baptist World Aid for over 10 years, so I’ve witnessed the long-term, sustainable impact that these projects have on the lives of children doing it tough,” he said.
