Bender competed in six disciplines, pommel, high bar, parallel bars, floor, vault and rings over the two days of competition.
With more than 1200 competitors at the event, competition was fierce and Bender received scores no lower than 9.5 in all his classes.
He trains at Armidale City Gymnastics club and head coach Wally O’Hara said Caleb has a bright future in the sport.
"He has been very diligent,” he said.
"He does everything to perfection.
"Always comes impeccably dressed and ready to work.
"It couldn't have happened to a harder working gymnast.”

Caleb will now face more of a challenge when he makes the leap to level three.
O’Hara said it shouldn’t phase the young athlete who has been part of the junior program for a number of years.
"It just goes to show that our little junior program works really well,” he said.
"Most of them move levels now in preparation for next year's season.
"He will move up to level three which will test him out but knowing Caleb he will handle it very well.”
