Dawson was among five Central North juniors chosen in the under 15’s team who will be out to defend their title from last year.
Armidale District Cricket Association’s vice-president Michael Dennis said her selection it was an extraordinary effort.
"She has always played with the boys because we have a competition which, although there are a number of girls who play, it is dominated by the boys,” he said.
"I suppose one of the results of that is she is really making a name for herself when she gets to play in the girls' competitions.

"She has been in the academy for a couple of years, she has been playing for Northern Inland, Central North and now she is going one step higher which is quite exciting.”
The national championships go from November 22-29. Dawson also plays in Armidale’s under 14’s representative cricket team who come up against Inverell in Armidale on October 23.
