The side were impressive in their 6 nil thrashing over their opposition but coach Chet Davies is not getting carried away.
Although he was happy with his team walking away with a clean sheet on Saturday, he believes all teams will start to put their best foot forward leading into the finals series.
“I am actually quite happy with how the team is starting to settle in,” he said.
“We have settled in on a team in the last three or four weeks which has been reasonably good to put the same people on the paddock.
“I am not one to gloat on who has been a special player but it has just been an outstanding team performance from all of them.
“First grade are training their hearts out at the moment.
“We have been trying to work out some defensive stuff to stop the attack.
“I know it is only nearly the end of June but most teams would be working out at this stage who they are going to pinpoint and who they have to play and who is coming up to where they are sitting on the ladder.”
The league is in the second half of the season and all four Armidale teams find themselves in the top half of the ladder.
Davies said it is shaping up to be a tough end to the season and no side can afford a slip-up at this stage.
“Between all the Armidale sides it is very, very tight,” he said.
“At this stage of the year you would want to work out some sort of strategy.
“As a coach, these next three or four weeks are pretty important for players turning up to keep them interested.
“Myself and the team are taking it game by game and analysing our performances after every game on a Saturday and try to implement something that we can do better.”
This weekend, East Armidale take on Souths who will be looking to redeem themselves after a two all draw against Oxley Vale Attunga.
Demon Knights come up against Tamworth in their away match after defeating Moree five-nil and Norths travel to Narrabri.
