A teenager has been found covered in blood and lying on a western Sydney street after allegedly attempting to kill his mother.

Police will allege the 44-year-old mother was alone inside her home in Donalbain Circuit, Rosemeadow, near Campbelltown, on Saturday evening when her 19-year-old son, who doesn't live at the home, arrived.
He allegedly smashed through a front window with his arms, climbed inside the home and seriously assaulted his mother, leaving her with serious head injuries.
He then climbed back through the smashed window and wandered up the quiet, suburban street before collapsing.
He suffered severe cuts to his arm and was covered in blood when paramedics and police arrived about 6.40pm.
The mother and son were both taken to Liverpool Hospital.
The teenager was charged with attempted murder during a bedside hearing and will appear before Campbelltown Local Court on June 16.
His mother remains in a stable condition.
Police are investigating whether the man was affected by drugs or mental illness.
