The year 1 and 2 pupils were busy rehearsing their energetic dance routine to dance hit Kung-Fu fighting yesterday.
There was no shortage of moves to perfect, with the pupils working hard to master the air kicks, punches and war cries that went with the routine.
Teacher Kylie Woods has been busy teaching students the routine since the beginning of term.
“It’s been weeks and weeks of preparation, we have been meeting to practice a couple of times a week,” she said.
The performance preparation had proved entertaining and all involved elected to participate.
“They like the routine because there is lots of action and moving around,” Ms Woods said.
The pupils’ performance is one of many today as Armidale’s public schools gather to put on a performing arts extravaganza of singing and dancing.
