Each week pupils set aside a time to bury their noses in a book through paired reading program. Principal Belinda Baker said the designated reading time helps older students share their love of books with their peers.
“Buddy Reading is a popular part of the school day every Friday,” Ms Baker said.
“Junior students show off their fabulous reading skills, whilst senior students provide support.”
Pupils rocked up to school on Wednesday dressed as their favourite characters from books they love, but that wasn’t all in store for them.
“The annual Book Fair is currently operating at Black Mountain Public School,” Ms Baker said.
“All are enjoying reading stories with their families.”
